2006-07-31 [travs the bean]: well my good friend are you ready to begin-
2006-08-03 [Savien]: I suppose so.
2006-08-04 [travs the bean]: i see you have been practicing- are you ready to picka trial? and then we will begin- i'll change your stats in a bit
2006-08-04 [Savien]: I am ready. I'll start where I've been practicing.
2006-08-04 [travs the bean]: then lets star with lesson 1
2006-08-04 [travs the bean]: savien i need your password so i can make all the cool changes to your page my friend
2006-08-14 [Savien]: Sorry, I'll message you with it.
2006-08-18 [travs the bean]: ok all done- ready to begin?
2006-08-20 [Savien]: Whenever you say so.
2006-08-21 [travs the bean]: then let us begin - seeing you have started multple trials- what would you like to tackle first?
2006-08-23 [Savien]: Does not matter to me. I can keep working on heads, if you like. That one is easy.
2006-08-23 [travs the bean]: than lets finish off the heads- the first question looking at what you have done is what have you learned?
2006-08-25 [Savien]: It is very difficult to try to alter you "style" to produce something different every time.
2006-08-25 [travs the bean]: lol it is - so how have oyu gone about altering your style?
2006-08-27 [Savien]: Mainly, I try to change the angles. It is easy to repeatedly draw faces from the same angles. If I force myself to change them up, then I can get a totally different look. As well as doing different ages, races etc that I haven't tried before. I had 2 more pages of heads done, and my sketchbook got lost... :(
2006-08-28 [travs the bean]: how about shapes- are you using the same basic shape- what i would like you to do is use triangles, squares and rectangles:) round the edges and such but start to put those in your ovals to create different shapes for forheads, jaws etc...
2006-08-30 [Savien]: I see. i will try that. On every different perspective, I use the same basic graph to proportion the heads. I try to do different shapes for different races, but mostly the same race looks pretty similar. does that make any sense?
2006-08-30 [travs the bean]: it makes sense-
i want you though to use the different shapes in the jaws for your humans males and females- - there is that set formula but i want you to add on that formula - if you notice the example i am posting you will see the standard circle for eyes and mouth- yet i use that for the skull and i then add shapes for the jaw- here i use 5 different unique shapes to create 5 different unique human heads-
as you look at the world around you and see people you will notice that people have the same basic facial set up - yet at the same time are incredibly unique- which is why i am challenging you to exagerate a little here:)
2006-09-01 [Savien]: Excellent. I will work on these this weekend.
2006-09-13 [Savien]: ....or, when i find a moment. I hope I'm not being timed here. I willl do this though. Don't give up on me.
2006-09-13 [travs the bean]: there is no time limit- everyone works at their own pace- so don't worry
